What You Should Know About A Brow Lift

A brow lift is a common cosmetic surgical procedure. The main purpose of a brow lift is to correct eyebrows that have begun to dip as a result of old age or fat. It is considered a cosmetic procedure but is sometimes crucial to restoring proper vision, depending on the extent of eyebrows drooping (which will, in turn, pressure the eyelids). Drooping brows are common, especially in those of advanced age or whom do not take care of their skin properly and generally lend a tired, worn out kind of look to the individual’s face. After a successful brow lift, tired brows will have vanished leaving you with a more energetic, alert, and youthful look.

Getting to know the ins and outs of a brow lift:

The procedure itself is fairly endoscopic, straightforward, and very safe. It consists primarily of the surgeon making five one centimeter cuts to the area of the skin just behind one’s hairline. After the incision the surgeon will elevate all of the relevant tissue from the bone and insert a camera to aid them. Then the surgeon will suspend the scalp with one of a small variety of devices.

Recovering from your brow lift:

Recovery consists primarily of dull headaches or pain in the front of the scalp for around one to two days. After this point one may experience a general lack of sensation in the scalp area for up to a month. Botox is generally used after surgery to add to the new, refreshed look.
